Rate: $20.00/hour APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 29th 2020
The Environmental Law Centre invites applications from law students attending a Canadian university for a student research assistant position for June – August. Applicants must have strong research and writing skills. The research assistant will work with Centre lawyers and gain exposure to the range of Centre program activities, including law reform, education and monitoring, community outreach, information requests, and research.
Preference will be given to students completing the second year of law school.
Strategic objectives that the Centre is pursuing relate to: public information and education; environmental rights; climate change law and policy, and other environmental and natural resource topics.
While it is hoped that this job will be performed in the ELC office, applicants should note that in accordance with government recommendations, working from home may be required for all or part of the placement, with virtual meetings and/or in-person meetings respecting social distancing requirements.
