24 Oct The ELC looks forward to new opportunities as an affiliated institute with Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta
The ELC is excited to share that we are now an affiliated institute with the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. We see this affiliation as a great opportunity to grow the ELC’s work evaluating and championing for effective environmental and natural resources laws and policies.
We look forward to working with faculty, students and other affiliated centres and institutes to further our law and policy work, including the Centre for Constitutional Studies, and the Wahkohtowin Law and Governance Lodge the Alberta Law Reform Institute and the Health Law Institute.
With the new affiliation we also look forward to creating interdisciplinary teams to evaluate regulatory effectiveness in Alberta and beyond.
Effective laws and policies are the cornerstone of having a clean and healthy environment that can be enjoyed by Albertans, today and into the future. Read more about the affiliation from Dean Barbara Billingsley, Professor Cameron Jefferies and yours truly in the Law School’s news release.
We are inviting people to our office in the Law Library to launch this new affiliation and to celebrate the opportunities it will bring. Join us November 3rd between 11:30 and 1:30 pm (room W218 in the John A. Weir Memorial Law Library).
