Environmental rights die for election
The upcoming federal election puts an end to lawmaking in progress, including Bill C-469, the Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights. The fact that this Private Members bill could have passed the House of Commons is a success. Canadians are increasingly recognizing the importance of environmental justice to a democratic society. Consider it a rebirth.
