Allison Boutillier is very pleased to be joining the Environmental Law Centre. Beyond her passion for legal research and public education, Allison looks forward to engaging with an interesting and challenging area of law with increasing importance for the lives of everyday Albertans.
Allison graduated with her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2016. She also holds a BA (Hon) from the University of Alberta and a MA from the KU Leuven in Belgium. Over the course of her education, Allison has been the recipient of a number of awards, including the Horace Harvey Medal in Law.
Allison was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2017. Prior to working at the Environmental Law Centre, she clerked at the Court of Queen’s Bench and completed her articles at a corporate commercial firm before practicing as an associate lawyer, primarily in civil litigation.
Allison is currently Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Alberta North’s Administrative Law Section. She also volunteers with the Elizabeth Fry Society, conducting a free legal clinic at the Edmonton Institution for Women.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys playing soccer, reading, and playing with her nephews.
