WEBINAR – Lessons Learned from Canada’s Record on Climate Change

Lessons Learned from Canada’s
Record on Climate Change

Join the Environmental Law Centre as we welcome Canada’s Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development (CESD) to discuss federal climate change actions and their implications for Alberta.

Commissioner Jerry V.  DeMarco and Principals James McKenzie and Kimberley Leach from the Office of the Auditor General of Canada join the Environmental Law Centre in an online conversation to discuss the cross-jurisdictional challenges and opportunities around climate change actions.

The webinar will highlight learnings from recent CESD reports regarding Lessons Learned from Canada’s Record on Climate Change and the operation of the Emissions Reduction Fund—Natural Resources Canada.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to discuss and provide input on the Commissioner’s new role under section 24 of the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act.

When: March 16, 2022, 12 noon-1:30 (MST)
