Bill C-469, Federal Environmental Bill of Rights

The Report Bill C-469, An Act to establish a Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights was submitted to the house with only a few amendments. However notably cl. 22 allowing for judicial review was deleted. This means that the Bill survived first reading, second reading and committee and will now be reviewed by the House of Commons. It now goes to third reading, and might even pass!  Testimony from the committee hearings can be reviewed here and the Bill (without the committee changes yet) can be read here.
